A Letter From Yertle the Turtle
Dear Room 9
My name is Yertle. I’m a Hawksbill Turtle and I was hoping you could help. There are only 30 000 Hawksbill Turtles left in the world. We are endangered. I have lost lots of friends because of rubbish and plastics that people have dropped and ended up in the ocean.
I was hoping you would be able to in some way to slow down the rubbish that gets into the ocean by changing something in your school, your home or your community.
Thanks for your help!
Love
Yertle the Turtle

Class Trip
On Thursday we are going on our World of Waste tour. This is to see the ways in which our community deals with waste at the moment. We all need covered in shoes for this trip
As part of this topic we will be learning about reducing, reusing and recycling, statistics, and persuasive writing.
